The shirt design:

So the cost of making 20 shirts is $122. I can fund about half of that, so before I can order it I need 7 people to pre-order it. Now it wouldn’t be fair if 4 people sent me money and it never happened, right? Email me at matt@punkcdsampler.com to pledge to buy a shirt from me. Once I get at least 7 of these, I’ll start allowing pre-orders, and I’ll email you back at that point. Also include your size.  Shirts are to be $11 pre-ordered ($12 regular, shipping included)  and I’ll accept Paypal or mailing cash. And if you’re not in the 48 states (you know which) then the prices might change. Cool? Cool.

ps any and all profits I make from this will go towards my documentary.

That title is a reference to the Bomb The Music Industry! shirt I have. Anyway, I want to make some merch. I’ve presented them in the poll in descending order of cost, so keep that in mind. I’d need pre-orders to fund the shirts, and even then the shirts would be $7-8, while the coozies would be $2-4. If you can’t tell, I’m leaning towards the coozies, but I want to hear your opinion.

Also, apparently people think I hate Anti-Flag. I don’t. They’re the band that got me into punk music. Them and their label are extremely nice. I respect them, although I may not listen to them much anymore.

PunkCDSampler started with the youtube channel. Just one of my brilliant 13-year old ideas on how to kill time. The idea was to eventually become a partner and make shitloads of money. Then I would buy a car for all of my friends and we’d all live in a huge party mansion. At least this was my plan for about a year, until I realized that it probably wasn’t going to happen, and if it did, it would probably be more trouble than it’s worth. Regardless, I still loved putting albums on youtube and even doing podcasts. The podcasts went first. I still make one just for fun every now and then, but I’m no longer on a schedule.

The youtube page went strong for about a year and a half. Then I started taking long breaks and really only uploading interviews most of the time. What happened? I started a radio show. Whole lotta fun, and I no longer cared about youtube. It seemed so juvenile and pointless.

So where am I now?

1. I don’t give a shit about schedules so don’t expect an album/week anymore.
2. I will probably not upload or listen to your shitty band.
3. I’m no longer taking requests.
4. I’m only going to upload music I like and care about.

Also, I’ve started a calendar where I’ll put the dates of my live shows. There’s also an RSS feed. Don’t know how to subscribe to an RSS feed? Neither did I until 30 minutes ago. If anyone knows a better way leave a comment.

Thought I’d take some time to give shoutouts to some of my favorite podcasts and radio shows. You know, those guys that do their best to convince me that I will never be as good as them and I have no business running a radio show.

Burrito Electrico. A while back, when I still enjoyed doing the podcasts, the guy who runs this show, SnyderMan, emailed me and told me he enjoyed the show. Which is weird, because he has his own show and should be able to see how awful that podcast was.

Sure, they only have 1 episode out, but it’s good. Really good. In fact, I’m rocking out to it right now. Apparently punknews accounts for something like 8% of my site’s traffic, so I feel like I owe them something. Maybe I should get those interviews I promised over to Rich.

All Ages Radio

Wow, way to not have promo images readily available. I almost skipped you guys, despite how awesome you are. Seriously though, listen to these guys. They’re the only people on this list on the “real radio”, but I won’t hold that against them. Okay, I will. A little.

That’s it for shoutouts. Honestly, I don’t listen to many other podcasts and radio stations, but when I do I usually get the urge to make a new podcast of my own. So thanks for the motivation! Returning the shoutout is always welcome.
